Carrie Boisclair

Hi, the name's Carrie. I've been interested in Education and Science for as long as I can remember. In 10th grade I was lucky to have had a wonderful and inspiring Biology teacher named Mr. Savoie. He was more than a teacher, he was a friendly face and the boys' soccer coach. He once told me that if I followed my dreams and got to where I wanted to be he would let me drive my fancy new car (once I had gotten a job doing what I wanted to do) right into his classroom so that I could be made an example of in front of his future students. (His classroom was an old wood shop that had garage doors that led to the quad at Exeter West Greenwich.) So there it is, my inspiration to become an educator of Science. I first went to CCRI straight out of high school as I had no idea what I wanted to do, then finally transferred to URI. I've had a great experience here at URI, I will be graduating May of 2008 with a B.A. in Biology, B.S. in General Science and a B.A. in Secondary Education. I have passed my praxis exams and am ready to teach! As far as activities and hobbies go I love to dance, hang out with friends, be with family and just all around have a great time. Oh, and I love to participate in scientific discussion, especially when I can completely state my theory and the evidence to prove I am correct. :)
